24 weeks and going strong!
This week we are 24 weeks! That means that should anything happen, baby girl is viable outside of the womb. She’ll have a fighting chance at life. We have positive vibes and know she isn’t coming soon but it’s a big milestone! She’s been busy kicking away and growing big! Definitely makes her presence known. It seems as though this pregnancy is going by so fast. April 1st will be here before we know it. Although I’m pretty sure she’ll be born in March. Hopefully March 28th as that is her Papa’s birthday! Either way, we can’t wait to find out who she is and how she looks and to call her by name! This is our last pregnancy (G-d willing) and are trying to enjoy it even though it is going by quickly.
So far everything is going great, no issues other than constant Braxton Hicks contractions and tons of SPD issues. But that’s always been the case with the other 3 pregnancies. We’re usually good until 3rd trimester hits. Hopefully this one will be uneventful and we’ll get our full natural birth. I’ve experienced 3 medicated births and since this is the last, I want to experience it as G-d intended us to. I want my body to work in that miraculous way that he created. Without help from medicine.
16 more weeks to go!
24 weeks is such a milestone! I have always breathed a sigh of relief at reaching that point. We have friends whose daughter was about that gestation when she was born, and she made it (with complications, but now she's 9!). Even when everything is going perfectly, it is wonderful to know that you've made it so far.
I have to say, the experience of a natural birth is like no other! It is truly awe-inspiring, and extremely empowering. It's incredible to rely fully on Him, and see how He ordained the beginning of mothering. May you have a perfect and wonderful birth!
